Monashee Pass B.C. [British Columbia] June 25. 1937. 4000'
One seen soaring overhead in late afternoon
Mt. [Mount] Revelstoke B.C. [British Columbia] 6000'. July 2/37 [1937]. A golden
eagle seen hunting the rock slides during morning
east of lookout.
July 3/37 [1937]. Saw the golden eagle again in
same place early this a.m. [morning] when suddenly
a large dark colored falcon appeared -
drove of [off] the eagle, repeatedly striking at it
until they both disappeared across the
valley.
July 5/37 [1937]. Seen again about 7 a.m. over rock
slide. Did not soar or hunt but kept straight on
across valley. Note that this eagle goes in
the same direction each time I have seen
it + heads for a distant peak across valley.
July 16, 1937. Saw a golden eagle when
returning from Eva Lake + shortly after
when examining surrounding peaks
through telescope in look out saw
this eagle perched on summit of Mt. [Mount] Harry.
[Ian McTaggart] Cowan distinctly saw it preen its feathers
+ look about.
