Know all men by these presents that We the several persons and co-partners whose signatures and seals are hereto subscribed do hereby associate ourselves together as a Charitable and Benevolent association under the provisions of the Charitable Associations Act 1871. And we hereby specify the name assumed by this association and by which it shall be known to be “The Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association” And we do hereby appoint Lee Yau Kain President of the said association and Wong Soy Chew Treasurer and Lee Tin Poy, Lee Yick Jack, Mar Lau, Chu Lai trustees of the same and Kum Shoong, H. Cumyou Secretaries of the same. Dated the 9th day of August 1884.
