Understory consists of Salal, on the slopes + bluffs with some Pipsissewa + Berberis nervosa [underlined]. Alder around the damp depressions, nearer the lake Rubus specabilis [underlined], sword fern + bracken dominate - all moderately to heavily browsed Lactuca is abundant, Tierella [Tiarella] [underlined] fairly so. both browsed, Lady fern + deer fern casual. Pearly everlasting casual. On lakeshore alders + willows, Juncus ensifolius [underlined] Lycopus uniflorus [underlined] casual, neither eaten just now.
