Lodge, Alta Lake B.C. [British Columbia] July 3rd 1921
Was accompanied by Mrs Racey + Mrs
Crock. The owl flew by us + perched up
in a fir tree. Stopping there long enough
so we could get a good view of it.
July 20. In letter from KELR
mention is made of hearing
[illegible word crossed out] owls hooting at noon, one
near the shack + one further up
the mountain.
6/17/24 [1924] Several heard at night about
Alta Lake W [west] side.
6/19/24 [1924] A flock of 5 seen in dense timber
above Nita Lake. One taken # [space left blank] which
proved to be a young [female symbol]. Stomach contained
remains of a young hare + a white footed
mouse. Shot about 5 p.m.
