All were in fine plumage, fresh + clean
One [female symbol] was occasionally marked with
red on sides of breast + gray + white
in centre.
Feb. [February] 2/29 [1929] Saw a single [male symbol] by side of road
near Marpole.
Huntingdon B.C. [British Columbia] Feby [February] 19. 1939
Fine + bright, sun shining. E [east] wind. Heavy frost
last night. Saw 17 Robins about ranch
today. Stayed about the fields + woods
In the afternoon saw two near hedges
(about 1 1/2 mi [miles] west.)
Mch. [March] 6. 1939. Very numerous this spring
Considerable numbers seen in bushes along dyke
Lulu Isd. [Island] Feby [February] 25th - Ladner about Point
Gray + around Vancouver City, + all
through the Fraser Valley up to Abbotsford
+ Huntingdon B.C. [British Columbia] Yesterday, Mch [March] 5th +
on Saturday they were about the ranch
+ during snow storm saw a flock in
trees near Aldergrove. Have been
singing about town house, but singing
for short periods.
Sea Isd. [Island] B.C. [British Columbia] March 8/39 [1939] Fourteen seen
this afternoon.
Huntingdon B.C. [British Columbia] March 1. 1942. A flock of
24 robins were seen coming from the south + flying
directly northward over ranch, constantly
migrating birds.
Vancouver B.C. [British Columbia] March 3/42. [1942] A singing [male symbol]
heard early this am [morning] + seen in Rowan trees
this evening.
