The Grebes' total behaviour
pattern has changed - they moved
into the reeds today and behaved
within 30 feet of the canoe.

Weather: changeable.
Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] this morning checked the recorder on
Mrs. Sunday. She took to it kindly.
This afternoon Nancy [Mahoney] and I observed
the Grebes again. I finished the Jay -
it's an awful mess! The rest of
the day we filled in with odd jobs
and naps. Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] fixed a recorder on
Mrs. Thursday.

Weather: variable - cloudy and fine.
We got up early, but missed the
stage because our watches were
all wrong. We walked up to
Johnson's to see if they were
sending a truck in. They weren't,
