  • Black-bellied Plover. [all underlined] Squatarola squatarola cynosurae [all underlined]. Sea Island B.C. [British Columbia] Feb. [February] 5. 1935. In company with Bob Luscher. cold raw wind. Saw flock of about 16 B-b [black-bellied] plover in Mr Johnstons field between woods + old dyke. Iona Is. [Island] B.C. [British Columbia] April 15/35 [1935] Very numerous + seen everywhere. Many in full breeding plumage. Sea Island B.C. [British Columbia] March 3. 1938 About 75/100 seen flying up + down foreshore. Two or three on mud flats + 23 landed in fields behind lower dyke.
