The mallard drakes are gathering
in small flocks by themselves thus
suggesting that all egg laying is complete.
Two days ago found a nest with 10
eggs - 15 yds [yards] from water.

Took 2 young mallards in one
of the muskrat line traps.
Put Biol. [Biological] Survey bands on each
703609 + 703610.
Saw 2 hens + an eclipse male.
