Ootsa Lake, B.C. [British Columbia] July 26, 1936.
Today took an adult male
least weasel in a trap set
where a microtus had been
eaten in my trap.
The trap was set in
an old brush pile in
the centre of an open
grassy hillside. The brush
was surrounded by a
patch of wild goosberry [gooseberry]
briar + such weeds as
goldenrod + fireweed, the
growth being about 2 ft [feet]
high. It was caught
during daylight. I think
about 10 A.M.
