Arrested by Sergt [Sargeant] Langley
Cons [constable] Perdue & [and] Palmer
charged with breaking
into & [and] entering H.F.W.
Bekusen's house, Spring
Ridge and stealing there-
from $92.00 in cash & [and]
$900.00 in jewellery, $905.00
of which was recovered, found
in the man's room. He was
also charged with breaking
into B.R. Seabrook's house
Gorge Road on the 19th Sept
& [and] stealing one pair of opera
glasses valued at $30.00 also
found in his Room, also charged
with breaking into G. Parson's
house Saanich & [and] stealing
3 watches 2 rings & [and] watch
chain valued at $150.00
also found in his room
Committed for trial
Came up to elect and pleaded
guilty and sentenced to
5 years in the Bekusen case
6 in the Seabrook & [and] 6 in
the Parson's to run con-
currently making 6 years in
all

on the same charge as
Van Horst which charge
was subsequently withdrawn
by the prosecution so
that he could be used
as witness against Van
Horst nothing was found
in Dod's possession
