Quite numerous during Summer
of 1921 - Seen at Kitsilano, Sea
Island, Dundrave [Dundarave] and several
flocks at Alta, Nita + Alpha Lakes
during end of August. One [male symbol] collected
Aug. [August] 31st had crop + stomach
full of blueberries
6/21/24 [1924] Seen + heard at Mons.
6/22/24 [1924] a [male symbol] seen at Green Lake
In 1928 [space left blank] a pair nested in the
next door neighbours garden in
Vancouver B.C. [British Columbia] The nest was so disturbed
by children that the birds deserted
the nest
1929 a nest found in old
apple tree in June at
deserted farm. Peardonville B.C. [British Columbia]
when visited a couple of weeks
later found dest [nest] had apparently
been destroyed by crows.
Alta Lake B.C. [British Columbia] Aug. [August] 17. 1937.
Four flocks seen about Lake Then
numbered 11.9.20 + 26
Aug. [August] 24/37. [1937] A flock of 25/30 were about
camp during morning, were feeding on berries
watched adults feeding juv. [juveniles] In one instance
four young were on one branch being fed
by female, later saw [male symbol] feeding two juv. [juveniles]
Alta Lake B.C. [British Columbia] June 29th 1941 a pair
seen sitting on dead shrub near house
+ on June 30th several seen along [illegible word]
creek north of Rainbow Lodge
