- Mrs. Thursday, both of which
ventures were unsuccessful.
One of Nancy [Mahoney]'s coots hatched this
morning. She walked through the
marsh - and found blackbirds and
coots. She heard the Sora Rail
again (heard it yesterday)
Nancy [Mahoney] and Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] banded the (2 clutch)
flickers, and noted that the bluebird
had been predated, and the "apartment
house" had fallen down. The
pintail was predated. They brought
home 3 pintail eggs and a stray
robin's egg. After supper she saw
a territory made and held, and
copulation - one pair of grebes only.
They don't become active until the
sun goes off the lake.
Nancy [Mahoney] and Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] checked the
cliff swallows this afternoon.
