Just after the dishes were finished,
Cas [Lindsey] and Glen [Geer] arrived with a great
honk, and had coffee and talked.
Cas [Lindsey] took Glen [Geer] for his first
canoe trip (out from shore and back).
so he is now qualified to wear his
Kelowna Regatta hat.
Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] saw a Goshawk (?) - see May 22 entry
Westwick Lake Saturday, May 21, 1955
Weather: windy and cold - snow flurries -
another magnificent "copper buck"
sunset.
Nancy [Mahoney] and I got up, burned a box
of junk, waxed the table, and walked
down Sorenson. I got used to
my binoculars. It's wonderful.
I can see clear across the lake.
Then we took the canoe down to watch
the Grebes. Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] went up to see
Mrs. Sunday, and then followed us
down the lake in the [illegible word crossed out] dinghy. In the
meantime a gale had blown up, and
as it was blowing parallel to the
lake, blew up fair-sized breakers [word crossed out] waves.
We decided we couldn't possibly
get across the lake to help Tim [Miles Timothy Myres]
launch a raft, so we paddled into
shore to beach the canoe. However,
