Frank Smith reports that on
April 2, 1944 he counted 19 sheep +
3 goat on Mount Wilson.
Jasper. May 3, 1944.
West side from Jasper to
Devona.
Census: Between 2 mile + the ramparts
I saw 23 sheep only 1 a fair ram.
The total for today is 232 sheep.
Age + sex classes
unidentified 27
ewes, including 2 year old [female symbol]'s 111
lambs. 39
Rams 57 as follows.
2 yr. [year] - 8
3 yr [year] - 7
4 yr [year] - 7
5 yr [year] - 3
ad. [adult] - 32
Pathologies:- One adult ram had laminitis
of the left fore foot, possibly the
result of an injury to the carpals but
this region seemed to function normally.
One 2 yr [year] old had no horns
had a very puffy throat + was emaciated
Several had soiled backs.
