After breakfast the 3 of us climbed the mt. [mountain]
east of camp. On the way I shot another Leu-
costicte and saw 2 others. On top we saw a
Golden Eagle, 2 Pikas, a chipmunk and secured
a Callospermophilus. Later, while descending
the w. [west] and s. [south] facing slope of the mt. [mountain] a cock
white-tailed ptarmigan flushed and was
collected.
Two pack rats and a porcupine were taken at
the shack during the night.
Heard a Clarkes Crow in the evening. Saw
tracks of 2 mt. [mountain] goat.

Started raining before daylight and continued
intermittently [inserted later] all day. We packed out to Balsam Lake, start-
ing after lunch and arriving at camp about
3:30. On the way we collected a number of
plants and I shot two whistlers. Took a [female symbol]
Neotoma in the traps this morning and saw a [female symbol]
weasel (cicognani) hunting a rock slide.

mens, packed up all our baggage and spent the
