Nov. [November] 2. 1934 Quatsino V.I. [Vancouver Island] B.C. [British Columbia] Arthur Peake
says there is a large concentration about
Quatsino. One found dead by Mrs Peake
This I made up for Allan Brooks.
Very heavy migration during the fall
of 1934. Three [underlined] were taken on Swan Lake
near Vernon B.C. [British Columbia] on Oct [October] 29 1934. by
Allan Brooks. One of these he gave
me + is now no. [number] 420 in my collection.
J.J. McCabe says there were countless
thousands of these birds about Calvert
Island + when rowing to shore was
unable to avoid killing some with
the oars This during month of Sept. [September] 1934.
