Last night a wolf came to one of
our elk carcasses, + today 5 were
seen near the mouth of Snaring River
3 blacks + 2 grays.
Brazeau Lake Cabin. July 7/44. [1944]
Spring wolf sign on trail near
here. 2 droppings moose.
Brazeau Lake July 9/44. [1944]
Fresh wolf tracks on trail today -
2 individuals represented.
3 droppings - spring - elk

From signs along the way I would
judge that at least 4 wolves were
at present working the 18 miles
between this cabin + Brazeau Lake.

Two sets of wolf tracks near Southesk
R. [river] More along the Cairn.
Field B.C. Aug [August] 1/44. [1944]
No record of wolves in the
park.
Field, BC. Aug [August] 3/44 [1944]
Mr Nicholson in the winter of 1942-
43 saw one lot of wolf tracks coming
up the Beaverfoot. A wolf was shot
further up + just outside the park 2 or 3 days later.
