Nest made of dry grass. Dung
under nest.
Mt [Mount] Peter
Took 1 young [male symbol] groundhog on
arid sage flats, at foot of
mountain. Stomach contained
entirely bunch grass + some
sour dock. It had a number
of seeds (no. [number] 6) in its fur, Had
male, Anopleura, Siphonoptera, +
mites. When disturbed it
ran into a crevice in a large
boulder where it was shot.
All the groundhog burrows
in this area were made
under large boulders or
in talus slopes.
