Re [Miklos D.F.] Udvardy he says he found him
to be a good research man producing ideas
of his own. He thinks that his present
visa difficulties hinge on his former
relationship with the Hungarian Govt [Government]. His
father was a prominent man, was first
Hungarian consul to Sweden after 1918 war.
Udvardy left Hungary with a clear visa,
returned for x-mas [Christmas] + came back here again.
Further, after going to Stockholm he is known
to have been in contact with the Hungarian
Legation - probably in the interests of his
aged parents - but the Swedish secret service
were puzzled + def. [definitely] felt that he could not
be classed as a refugee.
