- Saw-Whet Owl 372
Cryptoglaux acadica [Aegolius acadicus]
Jan [January] 1919. One of these birds seen in Mr Heils
orchard, Walkacheen[?] [space left blank] of garby[?] [illegible word]
Dec [December] 1919. A saw-whet flew into the library
Birds Bldg [building] window + was caught by one of the
stenographers. Brought it home + put it in
a canarys cage. While it was left in
the dark on dining room table heard
it make twice the peculiar "saw whet"
sound. Next day it was released in ok [word crossed out]
Stanley Park.

to the Q.C.I. [Queen Charlotte Island] bird.
