  • Journal July 10/43 [1943] here now + in the winter. A very few elk here in summer do not winter Goat on mts [mountains] South of the cabin. Game seen:- 2 moose 14 goat. 6 deer 1 sheep. Suggested boundary revision:- The park is short on winter deer range + suggest boundary be revised to run down Dormer to Red Deer - up this to ranch up Scalp Creek to present boundary. Winter sheep range:- have today marked winter range on the map thus x + [wavy line]. It is as follows. Opposite 15 miles cabin on the spray, along the highway Massive to Norquay, Mt [Mount] Brewster S. [South] face, E [East] side of Cascade up to Cuthead, opposite windy cabin, around Sulphur springs, Lower slope of Mt [Mount] Tyrrell Indianhead cabin. July 11/43 [1943] Snowed hard from 4:30 AM until about 11 o'clock then cleared, late afternoon fine + sunshiny. Precip. [Precipitation] .42 in [inches] in snow. Examined river bars + watched a doe deer feeding. Willows on the bars are of two species numbered
