Journal
J. [James] A. Munro joined me + we
spent the afternoon in the field
inspecting the situation.
The proposal now is that the
cross dyke be sloped across Lone
tree ridge "from just beyond
the first point in Duck Lake on the
W. [west] side to the lone tree + then
on a Northerly trend to the ridge on the
point forming the w [west] side of the
mouth of Duck Creek. The dyke is
then to follow this ridge up to the level
1752. There is to be no dyke
on the east side of the creek.
Creston [word crossed out] Cranbrook. July 22/51. [1951]
Spent the morning on Duck Lake
with Jim [James A.] Munro. We inspected
the west + south sides to determine
the most desirable level, + then
had a look at the pumps. There
are a lot of fish going through
them just now but the permanent
screen should restrict the loss.
All the fish I saw were Meilocheilus [Mylocheilus]
up to about 10 inches in length.
Cranbrook. July 23/51 [1951]
Consulted Mr B. Ranch about
the liver fluke situation + then
went to see Mr J. Allmack.
