One came out into the open
+ stayed perfectly still 15'
from me while I shot the
other one + then it. This
was in a cottonwood bottom
area bordering the river.
Saw Trumpeter Swan +
Canada? Goose
June 24. [1929] Kamloops. B.C. [British Columbia] Dull.
Photographed a young
chipping sparrow (F11 - 1/2 sec [second])
While watching an old
Ch. [Chipping] Sparrow feeding its young,
a Cedar Waxwing, that was
building 6' from the Sparrow's
nest, came down + fed the
young sparrow with the
mother looking on without
protest.
The waxwing has fed
the birds several times
now.
