Seen. 2 R.B. [Red-breasted] nuthatch

Followed creek draining west
from cabin at mile 18. About
1/2 mile down began to find quite
a lot of last winters caribou
sign. Circled west + down onto
a boggy meadow with Kalmia,
Viola palustris, + anemones + broad
leaved saxifrage.
This meadow harbored a colony
of small microtines. Set 40 traps
Food apparently grass, Kalmia
+ saxifrage
Mr Moore - Park Warden says there
had been a wolverine around the
mt. [mountain] for several years but last
winter it had vanished
