Set traps up meadow creek
Found set of 4 point horns
+ skull of white tail deer
in an old shack on West side
of River. Saw first Arkansas
Kingbirds. Saw large very
yellow coyote. No badger
work along the West side
of the Kootenay river to the
North of the bridge. All badger
sign due West or N.W [Northwest] of
bridge + from 2 to 6 miles
back.
May 15 [1930]
Took one M. [Microtus] mordax + 4 Peromyscus
+ Mr [Hamilton Mack] Laing took a Jumping mouse
all on Meadow Creek just
N.W. [northwest] of Mr Tomlinson's farm.
Saw a Jumping mouse, seem
to be inhabiting the the thickets
of briar + snowberry + the
brush piles along the river
+ irrigation ditches
