[1943] In Jasper + patrolled to snaring + to whirlpool Jasper. Sept. [September] 6/43 [1943] Drove out to the end of the Shalebanks Road + hiked almost in to the cabin. Game 3 [male symbol] sheep. 1 coyote. Jasper. Sept. [September] 7/43. [1943] Warden George Folley reports his belief that there are scattered areas of winter range for sheep up [word crossed out] west of the Snake Indian. Reports that sheep are present in these mountains all most as far west as s [south] of Hoodoo. Also reports great quantities of moose up the moose-horn river. Jasper. Sept [September] 8/43 [1943] Set up Moberly Flats survey area close to the end of snaring Lake [words crossed out] Corral Creek + a slough backwater from the river just N. [North] Jasper Lake. Open meadowland with scattered aspen groves, fir trees + some young spruce. In draws Eleagnus, + dead willows. Shepherdia bushes 80% dead. Aspens highlined to 8' to 9'
