Debris pile consists for the
most part of cactus + tumbleweed
There are about 1000 or 1500
pieces of groundhog dung in
one place. Bits of plaster + brick,
bits of glass, nails, tin can,
a childs shoe, pieces of wood
all go to make up the pile.
I examined a nest that
was made between 2 bricks
from the remains of the
chimney. It was about 9 inches
in diameter, open at one side +
made of dry grass, with a half
inch lining of sheeps wool.
I can't seen where they got
the wool as this is a cattle
range + there are no sheep
