- Brentwood Feb. [February] 13 on it appeared several grayish areas up to a dime in size which contained worm eggs + larvae. The lung contained muco purulent secretion + small pus pockets. Swabs were taken + sent to Duff at U.B.C. [University of British Columbia] The distal margins of the lower lobes of the lung also showed local inflammation as a result of lung worm injury. Setaria [underlined]:- 6 large specimens Oesophagostomum [underlined]:- 180 in caecum, an undetermined number in upper part of large intestine 10 in lower 18 inches of small intestine + scattered individuals further anterior. Those in caecum varied from 3 mm [millimetres] to 20 mm [millimetres] in length. The small ones predominated. Cysticercus [underlined] One in distal margin of right lung. 4 on mesenteries all under 1/2 inch in diameter. Tick:- One Dermacentor [word crossed out] Ixodes? engorged in grain.
