Horses competing directly with deer + elk + have been out all winter Counted 14 horses in one group. Symphoricarpos 50% used, rose 10% Horses belong to Lewis + to Huff. Mr Huff reports about 30 elk, 6 mi [miles] from town, 2 or 3 6 mi [miles] from town largest group seen last spring 57. Tom Cloke reported 19 elk in one group on Feb [February] 25 + for some weeks thereafter n [north] river flat below concentrator
