Speaks of finding 30 carcases [carcasses] one spring attributed to coyote but evidence shaky or non-existent Jasper, Alta [Alberta] [underlined] Dec. [December] 23/44 [1944] Same deer sign on the east bank of the Athabasca below Maligne River. Country badly over browsed. Kills:- Found a leg that had recently been a meal for a coyote. No way of knowing what the cause of death. Several sets of mt [mountain] lion tracks + were from at least two lions + the deer may have been killed by one of there.
