  • Crossbills. July 27, 1939 I took specimen of a crossbill on Goose (see field note book.). They have been present + for the most part abundant on all the Islands so far visited. At Ormidal Hr. [Ormidale Harbour] male were heard in full song around one spot [word crossed out] tree for three days successively. At Dundivan Inlet Horsefall I. [Horsfall Island] I have observed them daily + heard singing males very frequently. August 15, 1939. Saw a number of crossbill in the interior of Banks I. [Island] heard a male singing
