Left Vancouver 10:30 AM. on bright cold
morning via Harbor Nav. Co. [Navigation Company] ferry. +
proceeded to Wigwam Inn. En route saw
near Dollarton 30 +/- pairs marbled murrelets.
150 +/- surf scoters
In Vanc. [Vancouver] Hbr. [Harbour] 700 +/- Greater Scaup.
150 +/- Surf + W.w. [White-winged] scoters.
1 Red breasted merganser.
Elsewhere. 6 Bonaparte Gulls.
30 +/- Glaucous-w. [winged] gulls.
10 short-billed gulls
1 Harbour seal. 1 double crested cormorant
70 +/- Barrows Goldeneye.
10 Western Grebe

Left Wigwam Inn afoot at 1:30 + hiked
up the flume to the Canadian Cedar
Co. [Company] camp 4-5 miles up. Along river
bottom alder, willow + cottonwoods predominate
with heavy undergrowth of salmonberry.
