Arrived here at 10:30 this morning
with heavy rain just beginning
Oldham left by plane at 1100 hr [hours]
+ we spent the rest of the day
working on specimens, writing
letters, etc. [etcetera]
July 31/47 [1947]
Spent all day writing up notes +
working on trap line records, high
wind arose in late evening accompanied
by heavy rain.
It seems to me imperative that all
trappers be licensed even if the
native are given free licenses.
The license to provide an annual
statement of furs taken + how
disposed also game animals killed.

all day with a driving gale from
the north west made the day
unpleasant for outdoor work
but kept the mosquitos away.
