We entered Lulu Island via
the Fraser Bridge at approx [approximately] 10 A.M.
and drove to the muskeg in the
north central portion of the island.
This is a barren sphagnum
muskeg, with no open water,
stunted willows + jack pine,
sheep laurel + labrador tea are
the dominant features in the
vegetation
Along some of the ditches
brambles, willows + hardhack
make thick tangles. In these
tangles we observed the only
bird life in the area
