Mt. [Mount] Revelstoke 3400'. July 20, 1937. Beautiful day - traps held practically nothing. Spent the entire day making up yes- terday's take of ground squirrels & rabbits. In the evening walked up the road to the area of deciduous woods where the rabbits are most abundant. Saw one rabbit but did not take it. On the way home saw 2 bats & 2 flying squirrels, and took one of the latter. [note inserted later] Mr. [Kenneth] Racey shot a young rabbit. July 21, 1937. Mt. [Mount] Revelstoke, B.C. 3400'. Traps held 3 Peromyscus. Skinned until 10:30 then went to town for some more ammunition and a hair cut. The barber (Mr. Jack Green) told us that there is a trail up the Jordan River, then along the Columbia + finally up on the summit. Here caribou + grizzly are plentiful - as are goat further back. Goat also plentiful on Mt. [Mount] Cartier. Thunder storm in the evening but set out 12 more traps for flying squirrels.
