From the Lagoon we (Carl [?] + self)
drove out to mile 17 on the
Sooke-Jordan River Highway +
turned to the right up a
very steep narrow road
leading to Glints Lake. The
lake - altitude about 800 ft [feet]
is about 3 acres in extent
+ is closely lined with steeple [?]
brush + other scrub around
the margins. The surrounding
country is timbered with
open stands of 18" to 24'
Douglas fir - some hemlock
+ Pine. Undergrowth salal,
willows along edges of natural
meadows.
This valley leads back
about 1 1/2 miles to the
