Arrived from Vancouver last night.
Very hot day with light east wind.
Birds very scarce, so far have
seen
White crowned sparrow. 4
Song sparrow several
Cedar waxwing 2
Robin 26
Traills Flycatcher 2
Yellowthroat common
MacGillivray warbler 1
Flicker 1
Bluebird 5
Sooty grouse 11
Across the lake from cabin saw
6 deer. Tracks plentiful on last
mile of road.

Cloudy at dawn raining intermittently
until noon + fairly steadily during
the afternoon. Clearing in the
evening. Spent the day around camp
working on the trailer + the car
