On examination he found 8 carcases [carcasses]
+ fresh Mt [mountain] lion tracks everywhere.
Watchman Lake, Alta [Alberta] - July 28/45. [1945]
Yesterday saw two goat, one very large,
high up beneath the peak of Mt [mount] Castleguard.
Noted signs of winter + early spring
activity along the west face of the
Mt. [mountain] Willows heavily browsed.
Dormer Cabin. Aug. [August] 10/45. [1945]
On lick just west of cabin saw
18 goat including 1 [male symbol], 5 kids
with 4 nannies - remainder [female symbol]'s +
young.
Another [male symbol] N [north] of cabin
[female symbol] with kid S [south] of cabin.
Food [underlined]:- Watched a [male symbol] browse willow
for 10 minutes.
Dormer Cabin. Aug. [August] 11/45. [1945]
At head of Dormer one W [west] side of valley
saw 4 billies high up on the range.
Sulphur Springs Aug. [August] 14/45 [1945]
Found an ["n" crossed out] [a] dead goat just below a
lick on the [illegible word crossed out] creek entering the
Panther immediately opposite our camp.
The bones were almost all together
as if little had been eaten by any
carnivore however the place suggests
a carnivore kill. possibly Mt [mountain] lions
