  • [start page] This is a pictoral volume of the life of Archie Wills, as prepared by his wife, Lydia. It starts with his early life, as an athlete, his experiences at the YMCA camp at the Gorge, his meeting with Lydia. Then his life in the army, his training at the Woolwich Military Academy and back to civvies, marriage, children, summer scenes, marriage of their children and the advent of grandchildren and his parents' golden wedding anniversary. Next are pictures of his newspaper life and some of the people he met, which is treated more fully in other volumes. There follows illustrations of his service as a member of the City Council of Victoria and in the Victoria Gyro Club, of which he was a charter member and president. There is reference to his knighting at the Portland, Ore., Rose Festival ad Sir Knight Blaze. [end page]
