- Evening Grosbeak.
Monashee Pass 4000' June 23/37 [1937].
Saw about 20 today some
in pairs but others in groups up
to six.
Took 3 [male symbol] + 1 [female symbol]. Males all had
testes enlarged. + the [female symbol], one of
a flock of 6 birds, was brooding.
Mt [Mount] Revelstoke, B.C. [British Columbia] July 5/1937.
Today heard these birds for
the first time. They do not
come up to the top of the
mountain, but come up to
5000'

60 birds in cherry trees + on ground near
7th + Sasamat.

26 birds feeding on Dogwood seeds in
botanical garden.

This winter has seen grosbeaks in great
abundance - large flocks still here.
