[B.] Simpson's
Disease:- Fawns of 1941 4 in number.
2 died in November - their mother
had broken her leg during the
summer.
2 remaining developed enteritis
during late January + February
1 died Feb [February] 6, other Feb. [February] 27.
Births:- 3 fawns born to 3 mothers
all over 5 years old, 1 on May 28,
2 on May 29 or 30.
Breeding Twins born late May 1940 did
not breed last year when 18 mos [months]
old in spite of plenty of [female symbol]'s.
On Oct [October] 6/42 [1942] Tobia (38) and
Bingo (40), the latter with the
larger forked horns, began
pushing matches, necks are
swelling but there is no violent
rutting activity as yet.
Antler Shedding:-
Tobias shed between Feb [February] 2 + 5/42 [1942].
Rabbit. Feb [February] 2 + 3.
Territoriality:- One doe chased by a dog swam the
lake in August 41 [1941] leaving a fawn. She
returned on May 28/42 [1942] + had her fawn
on May 29.
