o'clock. On way down
saw a very large porcupine
at mile 6. a large, very
dark marmot.
On return between mile
9 + 10 a coyote crossed the
road.
In evening set some
traps for Microtus richardsoni
in burrows along a small
creek bottom.
Took a [male symbol] Alaskan
Three toed Woodpecker +
saw 2 Juncos + a golden
Eagle, At 3000' saw a Pine
grosbeak.
Mr [W.M.] Moore says there are
both goat + Caribou in
the park. I myself saw
some grizzly work on
a south + west facing
slide below Balsam Lake.
