on the S. [south] Pender side.
Siphon dark at tip, mostly white
but with small dark oval plates terminally
placed thickly, extreme base of siphon
pale brown but no tough wrinkled
skin as in Zirphea [Zirfaea]. No projecting
leathery protection for base of siphon
Foot of 2 1/4 inch spec. 9/16" [inch] x 3/4" [inch] gape
diam [diameter] 1 3/16. Beaks behind siphon
meet dorsally unlike Zirfea [Zirfaea] crispata, Small
transverse protoplex, pale membrane
closes anterior dorsal gape +
covers rolled edge of shell.
Careful examination reveals shells
are shorter for their length + flare
outwards markedly on dorsal line
behind apexes, Zirfea [Zirfaea] has this
