of cr [creek] bottom bordered on each
side by clay cliffs, the sage
brush area extending down
onto the top of the cliffs.
A little grass grows in the
moist places along the stream.
sage on some of the drier steppes
Occassional [occasional] pine + fir trees.
Clumps of maple A1-2, Saskatoon
berry A1-5, snow berry 1A4., and
an occassional [occasional] birch 1A3 line
the sides + come down to the
edge of the river in the
drier, more strong parts. Sage
in the clayey parts of the higher
steppes just below the cliffs.
