  • Batchelder's Woodpecker Alta Lake B.C. [British Columbia] Dec. [December] 18/35. [1935] A pair of these birds seen about camp by Alan during month of November. Heard by us both this week + today shot a [male symbol] bird in willows along Pemberton Trail near Henry Horstman's place by Alpha Lake. This is the first time these birds have been noticed about this region. Alta Lake B.C. [British Columbia] Sept. [September] 16. 1937. A [female symbol] seen flying about dead stubs in Archibald's barn.
