been spiked by a spike buck.
Old buck formerly in park
became very constipated from
eating acorns.
Saanich Game Farm. Nov. [November] 9, 1938.
Fawns were received by the
game farm this year on the
following dates. 3 on June 21 + 22.
1 on July 2. These fawns were
at that time not over 3 weeks old
+ probably nearer 2 weeks old.
His captive doe gave birth
to a fawn in 1937 on July
24-28.
Four year old semi tame doe
shot by poachers on Nov [November] 6, 1938
weighed 86 lbs [pounds] dressed.
A fawn received in 1936 was
totally or almost totally blind.
Nothing externally the matter with
its eyes but movements no
matter how sudden were not
reacted to + the deer bumped
into objects in the environment.
At the age of 18 mos [months] this deer was
killed by an older doe.
