- bladder worm with an opaque
smaller end but are not
attached to any organ, just lie
loose in the abdomen. Another
male examined was clean.
June 5. [1932] Put out 37 mouse traps
4 steel traps + 7 snares. Took
one shrew + 2 meadow mice
before dusk also a [male symbol] rabbit
+ a squirrel.
Heard a warbler that I did
not recognize, after 2 attempts
managed to secure it, It is
a new one on me, somewhat
resembles Townsend Warbler but
has several different color peculiarities.
While chasing this warbler
jumped a coyote or a fox, I only
had a glimpse of the back of
its head above the vegetation
for an instant. Heard coyote
howling later in the day.
Found a Calliope Hummer's [Hummingbird's] nest
with two eggs, on low spruce
bough about 4 ft [feet]. from Ground.
Took a fine male Gray Ruffed
Grouse.
