Nov [November] 25, 1935. K. [Kenneth] Racey of Vancouver, B.C. [British Columbia]
tells me that the elk in the
vicinity of Quatsino now
do not number more than
perhaps 20-25 head in one
herd. A single old bull
was taken by H.M. [Hamilton Mack] Laing
for the Natl. [National] Museum of
Canada.

Today ran up to Shaw Creek
to skin + examine a yearlg [yearling]
bull, winter killed some few
days ago.
