4 boxes + 1 pcl. [parcel] of specimens to museum
July 15. 1937. Drove thirty miles up the
Big Bend Highway north of Revelstoke
western Cedar, western White Pine + western
Hemlock predominates also much cotton-
wood, Poplar, Willow + Hazel. Hunted
about mile 30 + collected two Red eyed
Vireo [male symbol] + [female symbol], a juv [juvenile] Willow Grouse + a Red Squirrel
The Willow Grouse was one of five. Saw the
male bird near old deserted farm
+ it was very ruddy in appearance as
was also the [male symbol] which [Ian McTaggart] Cowan saw
twice. Saw five Clark's Crows about
mile 20 + collected one
