To lead 1 part and tin 2 parts
Make When the lead is melted, put in the
Solder tin, and throw in a small piece
of Rosin, as a flux.
In soldering fine work, wet the
parts to be joined with muriatic
Acid, in which as much zinc has
been dissolved as the acid will
take up. _Silver Solder_ Put
into a clean crucible, pure
silver 2 parts, clean Brass
1 part, with a small piece of Rosin
Melt and pour into ingot.
Solder made from Silver Coin
often melts with difficulty, and
remains lumpy around the joints.
